The director Markus with a background in wilderness guiding, has dedicated his life to outdoor pursuits of many kinds, including mountain sports and climbing. "All kinds of human powered pursuits and searching one's limit by doing really hard things have always been the core inspiration for me in life. From this perspective I've started to explore images and storytelling as a tools, intending to portray how life can be around the true limits of human capabilities." Markus has studied movie production, direction and scriptwriting in the Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile and is about to have BA in Audiovisual Media Culture from University of Lapland in Finland. He is now working with professional backcountry snowboarders on movie projects in the Arctic.
