PARAMOUR
Salzburg, 1908. Twenty-five-year-old Louise Glaser comes from a wealthy entrepreneurial family whose expectations determine the course of her life. When she meets Laurenz Habsberg, a charismatic bon vivant many years her senior, her carefully ordered world begins to unravel. What starts as a passionate escape from social convention gradually develops into a relationship shaped by dependency, power, and the loss of self.
BUHLE retells the familiar “Everyman” story from the perspective of the woman who is usually reduced to the role of the lover. Through atmospheric imagery, the film explores how female desire, social constraint, and romantic idealisation become intertwined—and what it costs to lose oneself in another person’s life.
